The first 28 days of any VLACS course is called the “grace period.” During this time, the student has the opportunity to decide whether the course, project, or experience is what they want. A student may withdraw from the course, project, or experience anytime within the grace period without its reflection on their VLACS transcipt. If, at the end of the “grace period,” a student has not maintained a reasonable pace or communicated with their instructor during that time, the VLACS instructor may remove the student from the course. Withdrawing from a course, project, or experience after the 28-day grace period will result in a "withdrawal incomplete" on a student's transcript.
