Students are withdrawn for a variety of reasons including student/parent request, lack of progress in the course, or lack of communication. Withdrawn students have two options to restart:
-
Start again: if the student is withdrawn during the first 28 days or this is second time being withdrawn from the course, then the student will need to re-enroll in the course and start over.
-
Start where the student left off: if the student was withdrawn after the first 28 days and has not been previously withdrawn, the student must contact the VLACS guidance office within 14 days to start the reinstatement process.
If a student decides to remain withdrawn and/or is not eligible for a reinstatement plan, VLACS recommends that a student re-enroll when their schedule allows. Many students re-enroll in courses after being withdrawn. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
